The "Supernovae Research Group" consists of four people: leading researcher Artur Hakobyan, researchers Lilit Barkhudaryan, Arpine Karapetyan and Mkrtich Gevorgyan. The research group is specialized in Supernovae (SNe) observations and their theoretical models, as well as in studies of the relations between SNe features and the properties of their host galaxies. The group is accomplished a strong knowledge of star formation in galaxies, galaxy-galaxy interaction, inner dynamics of galaxies and stellar evolution, all of which are widely employed in the group's studies. In recent years, about two dozen refereed papers on SNe subjects were published in leading international journals (with high IF) and presented at many international meetings and seminars.
