AANL mission is to conduct advanced research and to develop new technologies with a particular emphasis on applications in nuclear medicine and accelerator research, materials research, particle and cosmic ray research, theoretical advances, computational advances in Artificial Intelligence and machine learning, and related basic and applied sciences with emphasis on innovation and technology transfer solving open challenges in defence of the homeland in Armenia, in agriculture, in climate change, and other needs of the Armenian economy.
Our mission
The vision for AANL is to be a regional centre of excellence in high energy physics and astrophysics, nuclear physics and nuclear medicine and related applications to advance scientific research, healthcare, IT, and economic development.
Holding the position of a leader in the field of fundamental sciences, AANL aims to ground for core innovations that will enable scientists to unite around the Armenian scientific potential. The technological breakthroughs were initiated with the creation of the International Center for Quantum Technologies.
At the same time, the cyclotron operation allows AANL researchers to make precise diagnoses in the field of nuclear medicine and to conduct scientific experiments in nuclear physics as a leading field of science.
The equipment with high precision to measure ultra-short time intervals created by the Armenian scientists, along with its values for research, can also be of great practical importance in security matters.
